Fifth graders work toward the Arrow of Light rank. The Arrow of Light rank is earned by completing the 8 adventures described below. Cub Scouts earn Adventures that are specific to their grade and rank. Completion of Adventures is how the aims of character, citizenship, leadership, and personal fitness are developed.
Parental Involvement:
During the Webelos and Arrow of Light rank years, Scouts are working toward becoming more independent and taking more responsibility for the completion of their program. Parents are encouraged to assist the Den Leader in teaching adventure requirements, but are no longer required to participate in all den meetings or attend all outings.
Class A Uniform Requirements:
Tan Uniform Shirt with appropriate patches (Council patch, Pack numbers, World Crest, & American flag)
Arrow of Light Neckerchief
Adventure Rank Colors (worn on the right shoulder)
Green Cub Scout Belt
Blue Shoulder Loops
Other items are optional; shorts/pants highly encouraged (will be used at the Scouts BSA Troop level too)
